Development sketches
These are some thumbnails and discarded ideas for a commission that I'm working on. I wanted to incorporate the Yin Yang symbol into the design but in the end it wasn't clear enough and didn't serve the purpose of the artwork.

Awesome ideas. It's a shame the yin yang concept didn't make it through, I saw it straight away :)
How is the design going now?
There's so much movement in that crocodile fighting man! I see the yin yang thing too, pity it didn't work for you.
@Paul: They asked for a more dynamic design where you can actually see the character's face. I knew this design was a gamble since the face was obscured but the idea was in my head and I had to try it at least.
My second version got approved and I'm about to colour it now. Will post when done. :)
@Susan: So glad people see it! I do wonder if I'd been able to bring the yin yang symbol across in the finish and still make the drawing clear though... it'd all depend on the colouring.
